Mateus de Paula Santos founded Lobo, a design and animation studio located in São Paulo and New York. With a background in Graphic Design from his studies and initial professional experience at MTV Brazil, Mateus developed a deep appreciation for animation and motion graphics. His passion led him to establish their own studio, Lobo, where they could explore their creative ideas more freely. The distinct style of Lobo quickly made waves in the Brazilian advertising industry, and it wasn't long before the studio began attracting attention from international clients and agencies.
Under Mateus's creative leadership, Lobo has collected numerous awards at major industry festivals, including Cannes, Clio, the One Show, and D&AD, which speak to the studio's creative achievements. Expanding into live-action film production, Mateus helped steer Lobo into new creative territories. His work as a director has garnered praise, particularly for advertisements produced for major global brands like Coca-Cola, Adidas, Volkswagen, and Fiat. These projects have demonstrated his skill in both the strategic and artistic aspects of production. Mateus continues to lead Lobo with a focus on innovation and a commitment to telling compelling stories through both animation and live-action.
